Directions

1. Millwood Bowling Club is located on the western outskirts of Barry, tucked away behind Pontypridd Road (the A4226). Because it's accessed via a small side road, it can be a bit tricky to find if you're just following the main road.

   Here are the directions coming from the A48, which sits just to the north.

   ---

   From the A48 East (Cardiff/Culverhouse Cross)

   1. Exit at Sycamore Cross: On the A48, look for the junction with the A4226 (signposted for Barry/Cardiff Airport).

   2. Head South: Turn left onto the A4226 (Five Mile Lane). Follow this road for approximately 3.5 miles as it winds toward Barry.

   3. Roundabout: At the North Barry roundabout (near the Weycock Cross), take the 2nd exit to stay on the A4226 (Pontypridd Road).

   4. The Approach: Continue past the residential areas. Look for Broad Close on your right-hand side.

   5. Final Turn: Turn right into Broad Close, and then immediately bear left onto the unnamed access road that leads behind the houses. The club and its car park are located at the end of this lane.

   From the A48 West (Bridgend/Cowbridge)

   1. Exit toward Barry: From the A48, turn right onto the A4222 (at the Cowbridge/Aberthin junction) or continue to Sycamore Cross and turn right onto the A4226. (The Sycamore Cross route is generally faster and more direct).

   2. Follow the A4226: Follow the road south toward Barry.

   3. Weycock Cross: When you reach the large roundabout at Weycock Cross (where the Esso garage is), take the 1st exit onto Pontypridd Road (A4226).

   4. The Approach: Follow Pontypridd Road for about half a mile.

   5. Final Turn: Turn right into Broad Close. Follow the small lane to the left which runs behind the residential buildings to reach the Millwood Bowling Club pavilion and green.
